Mahogany Body
Dean uses a mahogany body for most of its contemporary guitars.Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain. Plus, it looks sharp all dressed up in white and gold.Set Neck Construction
This V features a set mahogany neck, which imparts all the well-known advantages of that style: a warmer overall tone with extended low-end response, wicked sustain, and easy upper-fret access (not that that's a huge issue in most V-style guitars).
The 24-3/4-inch scale neck features a rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlays.Dean Humbucker Pickup
To capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes one of its standard humbuckers in the bridge position. It'll provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition.
Electronically, a pickup and volume knob are all you get here, and really, all you need--plug it in and turn it up.Grover Tuners
If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These guitar machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.

Tune-o-Matic Bridge
A Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-thru body design provides even more sustain, along with precise intonation for your tuning preference. The classic v-shaped plate mirrors the headstock wings for some nice vintage Dean style.

It looks great in a vintage Braziliaburst finish, and is further adorned with a "Dimebag Quad" sticker below the bridge and tribute image on the headstock.

Dime It
The late great Dimebag Darrell is a serious metal guitar hero, and Dean's series of Dimebag models pays homage. Dimebag started playing Dean ML style guitars in the late '70s, and made it one of the most recognizable shapes today. Dean offers a wide variety of Dimebag models to choose from, all boasting Dimebag's distinctive look and tons of mojo and attitude. Mahogany Body with Flame Maple Top
As with the original models, Dean uses a mahogany body for its contemporary '79s.Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain. The flamed maple top serves two purposes. The first, which is plain as day when you take a look at this axe, is aesthetic, with the Braziliaburst finish showcasing the flamed wood grain for looks you can't deny. The second result of the flamed maple top is a focusing of the mahogany tone, imparting clarity to your notes/chords, and a little extra high-end bite.Set Neck Construction
This axe features a set mahogany neck, which imparts all the well-known advantages of that style: a warmer overall tone with extended low-end response, wicked sustain, and easy upper-fret access (enhanced even further by the cutaways). The 24-3/4-inch scale neck features a rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays.Seymour Duncan Dimebucker Bridge Pickup
Seymour's SH-13 Dimebuckers were designed with the man himself to provide serious output and an aggressive tone. The Dimebucker uses a powerful ceramic magnet and stainless steel blades for serious crunch. The SH-13 boasts more treble bite than a lot of humbuckers, along with low-end punch and exceptional dynamics. A Dean humbucker completes the package up in the neck position, with each pickup getting its own volume conrol, along with a shared tone and three-way toggle.Grover Tuners
Licensed Floyd Rose Tremolo
The patented and often imitated double-locking design of the Floyd Rose tremolo allows you to lock your guitar in tune at the nut and at the bridge. Engineered like no other tremolo system, the Floyd's high-quality steel parts are manufactured to exacting specifications. Beat it up as much as you want--from traditional vibrato to dive bombing leads or flapping loose strings, and stay in tune while you do it. DBD Traction Knobs
Dimebag always rocked his "traction knobs," which he created by taking a soldering iron to them, for knobs that are grippable no matter how much sweat's pouring off you on stage. Dean faithfully recreates that here.

Good guitar, easy to play, nice solid and eye pleasing. If you are like me and want a Dean but on a budget (wanted Dean from hell but don;t have the extra $900) this is a great guitar for the price. Before this I played a Fender Squire Strat and this is so much nicer. I hate the fact that it is a Dime tribute guitar.I am a huge Dime fan but I think they are using his death to cash in on.That is something you should know before buying it.But like I said it sounds good, your fingers fly up and down the neck and its a Dean.

ESP LTD MH250 Electric Guitar - See Thru Black Review

ESP LTD MH250 Electric Guitar - See Thru Black
Average Reviews:

This is actually Vladimir's 15-year-old son (the guitarist/metalhead of the household, haha). We ordered this guitar two days ago, and it just came yesterday.(I'm VERY pleased with the speed of its arrival, but I'm in CT and American Musical Supply is in New Jersey, so this probably won't be the case for everyone.)It's pretty safe for me to say that this guitar is one of the best guitars I've ever played.(I've only been playing for two years, but I've tried out plenty of guitars.)The playability is great, the sound is awesome (and the pickups give good variety while still sounding great), it feels very sturdy and heavy, and the floyd rose is a LOT of fun to play with.It came in perfect condition, too.

The only thing is, the picture here looks slightly reddish, though the actual guitar is very black.Look on the ESP website for a better picture, but keep in mind the visibility of the (awesome) pattern depends a lot on the light. But that isn't even any sort of drawback, I'm just saying that this picture isn't quite what the guitar really looks like.

Overall, I am VERY satisfied with this guitar. This is only a first impression, and my opinion may change in the long run, but from what I've seen so far this guitar blows my other ones out of the water. If you're looking for a high quality guitar (with a fun floyd rose tremolo to boot) for a relatively low price, I'd definitely recommend this.

(My bandmates are REALLY jealous.)

Dean Razorback V Guitar 25.5 Scale Explosion with Case Review

Dean Razorback V Guitar 25.5 Scale Explosion with Case
Average Reviews:

I bought this item from Musician's Friends through Amazon. The item arrived as expected. When I opened the box I noticed that the product was not the same. First thing is that I did not receive the explosion color, instead I received the two tone green color. I did not like it very much but it is not too bad.

And second I did not receive the item as Amazon describes it. Amazon says that it has a pair of EMG 81/85 pickups, but the guitar came with differents pickups which are not even like the EMG. Very bad pickups. I guess I will have to buy EMG pickups separately. Very very bad for Musician's Friends....what a pitty :(

Product Description:
The Razorback V 255 is the next generation in the Razorback Series. Taking the traditional V shape is on of many Dimebag ideas kept alive at Dean today. The V shape with the V Dean headstock gives the guitar a symetrical, very cool look. Aggressive style and graphics it screams metal guitar. Designed with aggressive playing style in mind, they have fast action, high-output pickups, a Floyd Rose locking tremelo system, and lots of access to upper frets. EMG active pickups mean serious attack, and the extended long 25.5-inch scale is great for all the drop-tuners out there. To top it off, this one features some rather explosive graphics.

Schecter ZULU Electric Guitar Review

Schecter ZULU Electric Guitar

I bought this guitar recently, and I am highly impressed with it. Let me start by saying I am an active musician who has been playing for 22 years. I normally play metal in a band that plays at least 4 times a week, but I also enjoy a few other styles of music. Now, when I received this guitar, first thing is I was struck by the beauty of the design on this guitar. The artwork is great, but the playability is even better. I gave this guitar a music workover playing styles such as black/death metal, blues, rockabilly, surf rock, and even some classical style pieces, and it played excellent through every genre I threw at it. Excellent for lead or rythm. It hasnt slipped tune on me, no buzz in the frets, electronics all work great. This guitar is well worth the money. I highly recommend it to anyone.Schecter ZULU Electric Guitar
