this guitar has nice tone, very good quality for the price range, if i have to choose between Gibson or Godin, i have to pick this one!!
very jazzy/blues sounds especially if you change the stings to 11 or 12 gauge
the acoustic pickup is very useful, you could balance the sound with both electric and acoustic and produce wide variety color.
I would recommend this guitar to anyone!!

Grestch G5120 Hollowbody Guitar Orange Review

The only negative things I have ever read about this guitar where people griping that it's not made in the US. Cry about it, You can thank Fender for that. I did a lot of research before buying this guitar. I had always dreamed of owning a Gretsch, but like many, the price left me on the outs. (Ideally wanted the Reverend Horton Heat model) After lamenting the price difference between this and the Ibanez Artcore AG75, I opted for the fastest payoff and cheaped out. Huge mistake. The AG75 does not sound anything like a Gretsch. So I sold my Upright Bass and bought myself this model. I switched the strings first. 11 Gauge seem to hold the tone the best. The next thing I did was trade out the pickups for the much better TV Jones Classic, which curiously enough, is set up on TV Jones website which specific ones to buy for the 5120 (seems like it's the thing to do). Now this guitar screams. It sounds like any guitar Gretsch makes up to the $2k range. The action is great. It sits very comfortably and is very well balanced when playing standing. It's just a beautiful guitar and you honestly cannot find a better guitar for under $1,000.00 anywhere. Stop thinking about it and buy it.

Washburn HB Series HB15TSK Electric Guitar Review

Like I said in the title, this is a great guitar! And I mean that.

A lot of people will slag on this guitar just because it's a Washburn. While I don't like Washburn guitars that much, I a huge fan of this particular model. It has the look I wanted, plus the sound is thick and warm.It really does sound a lot like those 1920s-1930s "floating pickup" guitars that it is modelled after. The thick neck feels real good in your hands.

There are three different versiosn of this guitar. There's another HB-15 that has the volume and tone knobs on the body itself, and then there's an HB-15 with a single cutaway.Personally, I REALLY wanted the knobs on the pickguard, so that's what I bought. The tabacco burst is cool looking.

I sanded my guitar's neck and body. The neck's so smooth and the guitar looks older, as if it may actually be from the 1930s.The only other alteration I made was moving the strap peg to the neck. Most guitar snobs I know (and we all know a couple) are surprised to hear that this jazz-box is a Washburn.A comporable guitar will run you $600!

The only downsides I've had with my HB-15 is a little buzzing around the fifth fret.I had the fret filed by a luthier (about $10) and haven't had any more buzz since.Oh, it does pay to keep the bridge around the same area, because it can set the intonation off.

Washburn's HB-15 is a GREAT guitar for looks, sound, playability, and affordability.

Luna Henna Paisley Series TLE Electric Guitar - White Review

Luna Henna Paisley Series TLE Electric Guitar - White

This guitar in white comes with a rosewood slab unlike the picture depictin a maple fretboar. The black one comes with the maple board. The guitar came in a standar guitar box in a box setup. It was fairly loose in shipping and the volume control was a little bit jammed to the pick gaurd, but I was able to pull it straight.
The guitar is a beut with the white matchin headstock and the cedar wood pickguard.
Setup on this guitar was great out of the box but with a little neck and bridge tweek it ended up being a top notch playing instrument. The pickups are as good as any I have played with the tele configuration. The fret job is perfect and the rosewood fretboard is clean and slick. It is a fast neck and captures the tele vibe .

I've been surprised and delighted with my 5120 since I saw it on the wall at the music store. It has decent sound with good electronics, and the neck is one of the best I've ever played, well shaped and finished.I've always liked Bigsby trems, and this one is why.BTW, mine has the silver pickguard with the Gretsch logo.Looks great.Couldn't be more satisfied with this guitar.

Dean Palamino Guitar Vintage Sunburst Review

I wanted a jazz electric with character and this guitar has that to be sure. It's got a very retro 40s look to it and the P90s (3 of them) have a great sound. In fact I chose it over the Gretsch Electromatic because I thought the DP's sound was more versatile. I feel I could play anything from classic rock, country, boogie to blues on this guitar. Now the downside. The pickguard was incorrectly manufactured and jammed on in a way that was obviously incorrect and potentially damaging to component. The pickguard required dissasembly and some hand work with small tools to make it fit properly. I did it myself only because I didnt feel like waiting a month for the thing to be returned and replaced.I do think that the price is right however, and it is a $100 or two lower than other hollowbody guitars of similar specs. Oh, one more thing--this guitar plays pretty well as an acoustic with a nice thick body, great for practice when you dont feel like connecting an amp. If you order it, look it over pretty well for manufacturing defects. But overall I like this guitar alot.

Washburn Jazz Series J3TSK Electric Guitar

I found this guitar on Amazon.com and immediately liked the looks of it. I found the description on Amazon to be a little confusing because there were two different descriptions. I finally looked it up on the Washburn web site. When I received the guitar I was pleased to find that it included a pretty descent HS case. When you receive the guitar you will immediately want to change the strings and do your own set up. I had been looking for a guitar made in the USA. The description on Amazon did not state where it was manufactured (China). The description did not list it coming with the HS case. I assumed that it would as that is how it is listed on the Washburn web site. Given the price of the guitar you realize up front that the quality will not be as good as a $1000 guitar. When I received it I was pleasantly surprised. I feel that it would compare nicely to a $1000 guitar.
