I am very happy with this purchase. I've always wanted to learn the guitar but I didn't want to pay a lot of money for a beginner' guitar. I searched online for quite a while and came upon this guitar.I saw the price of it and all the additional items that came with it and thought to myself that since it's so "cheap" and I'm just learning to play, it would be a good deal to purchase it. I also thought that because is was so cheap, that the quality of the guitar would be poor.I'm happy to say that I was wrong. The quality of this "cheap" guitar is outstanding. I am so pleaed with it, plus all the items that came with it. I feel as though I "stoled" it.What a great product. I just love it. It looks and sounds wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good guitar, even those who play professionally.

Full Size Acoustic Guitar with Free Carrying Bag - Natural Review

I hesitated buying this guitar for my grandson when I saw a few negative reviews, but when I checked the list, the 5- and 4-star reviews were double the negative ones, so I decided to purchase it.

I realize it's not the best on the market, but a beginner doesn't need the best. Kids often think they want to play the guitar, then later change their minds in favor of drums or something else that catches their eyes. With that in mind and the economical price and the accessories, it was a no-brainer decision. Besides, it's quite stylish in a neutral way; not glittery and showy like some guitars I've seen; more suitable for a 12-year-old.

When I saw Johnny's face light up when he opened his birthday gift ... well, that was priceless to me. It's three months later and he's still smiling, so I consider this one of my best investments.

He's learned a few songs already and is constantly in his room, practicing. Since the sound is good, the noise doesn't bother me. I'd much rather hear him play than listen to blaring rap music. :)

One reviewer complained about the carrying bag, but that didn't worry me at all. It was still a good value, with or without the bag, and we've had no problems yet.

I recommend this to beginning guitarists, no matter how old. If they stick with it and decide to go professional, they can go on to more expensive equipment later.

Behringer iAXE393 USB Guitar Review

Behringer iAXE393 USB Guitar

The Behringer iAxe 393 is simply no good. The build is very under-par. In the playing, the guitar loses tuning far too quickly. To top it all off, after just two months, the very thing that makes this guitar special -- BROKE! I'm referring to the USB module. It now is no longer recognized by ANY system I plug it into. The driver installation software doesn't know when it's plugged in and when it isn't.

On Behringer's end, the Windows Vista driver is extremely poor. Everytime the device was unplugged and re-plugged, none of the programs would recognize it without re-installing the device driver. This was a very tedious and painful task. Tedious because there was no indication after rebooting that the device would now work properly. Painful, because it simply shouldn't be this way!!

The only pro to this device is the IDEA behind it -- that of a guitar built to interface directly with the computer without having to do some magic trick with cables, amps and adapters. But when the device breaks after just two months, of what use is it then? As a regular guitar? It loses tuning every half-hour.

The cons -- too numerous to mention, but here are the biggest ones: 1) USB fixture is faulty. 2) Device drivers are very unstable, especially for Windows Vista. 3) loses tuning after just one half-hour. 4) There are multiple reports of shoddy workmanship on the assembly line.

You would do well to do a LOT of personal reading on ALL Behringer models before making any purchase. Personally, I would avoid this one completely.

Fender Starcaster Strat Pack Electric Guitar with Amp and Accessories - Black Review

Fender Starcaster Strat Pack Electric Guitar with Amp and Accessories - Black

I bought this as a starter electric after having learned on an acoustic. It's great for the price. The guitar: -After a few days I could tell the tremolo bar wasn't going to last very long so I completely unscrewed it and do not use it. So don't plan on using that heavily for very long, it's not made in a fashion to last. That's one of the ways the price is kept down on the guitar, I'm sure. The pickups and bridge definitely will need adjustment so find a good place online to learn about that, or hopefully you know someone who knows guitars or you know them yourself. After a few months one of the wires to the jack broke off, somehow, and I did have to solder that back on. I couldn't say how common of a problem that might be. It's recommendable that you keep the jack input nut tight to the guitar and don't let it get to where the jack can spin freely at all. Otherwise the tension will go to the wires connecting to the jack and that's probably what caused my problem, so lesson learned. If you can afford a higher quality strat and don't want any little hassles like that, then spend the extra bucks. But, if you're like me, and willing to put a tiny bit of work into keeping it working, the price to quality ratio is definitely in your favor. It's probably better for a first electric than something higher quality and more expensive anyways, because you're not so afraid to tinker around with it, take it apart and find out what makes it tick. I've had it for about 3 months now and have consistently been playing it at the very least 7 hours a week and still happy. The Amp: -It does its purpose. Not a very good amp, but it's solid, and doesn't have much to complain about. You know what you're getting there; A cheap little amp. The guitar strap: -Don't trust it. It will slip off the strap buttons; First day. Get some strap locks for it, or get a better strap. The tuner: -completely cheap and not even worth using. I put it up against a good/reliable tuner and it didn't even have the correct read on the pitch. I'm not sure what's going on there but I basically threw mine away. It looked like it was about to fall apart out of the package, basically. I recommend buying a different one straight away before the guitar even arrives, or tuning by ear is better. The four stars are based on the assumption that you're someone who is willing to get the screwdriver out once or twice and mess around with it. It's based on the fact that you're not needing the little things like the strap and tuner to be perfect out of the box. If that's for some reason important to you, then consider this a 2-star review. The four stars is also probably based on the fact that you either A: know some things about guitars already, B: know someone else who does, or C: are very resourceful and good at making something cheap work to its greatest ability. Hope this has been helpful.
