Dean Michael Schenker Standard Guitar Review

Dean Michael Schenker Standard Guitar

I have owned my Dean Michael Schenker sig V for 3 or 4 years now and I love it. It's my go-to guitar for metal(I use my Strat and Les Paul for more classic and stoner rock). I did put an EMG 81 in the bridge(leaving the passive neck pickup out of the circuit), but I didn't feel like I HAD to... I just wanted to try active pickups. The finish is just fine, the fretboard has no sharp fret ends, neck pocket is tight.I really have no complaints whatsoever about this guitar, especially at the price they're selling em for... no, it's not a 'custom shop' equivalent, but it suits me just fine. I give it a solid 4 stars.

Hi!I am going to cut through the chase. I've been playing for 30+yrs. And I've owned a lot of guitars.and to the best of my knowage this is as good as the guitars up in the thousnds. As far as looks ,playabilty, hardware, woods and performance ,most of all craftmenship of beauty! For the price you are stealing it as far as Im concerned. A no Brainer! the only thing they could do is put a American Floyed Rose tremlo systemon it for good dive booms! but then you would have to get off of more cash. End of story I bought it and I couldn't be any Happyer! Because Im jamming to the bank sort of speaking." So Buy it you wont be sorry. Unless your just a EMG kind of man or Chick !

Product Description:
The Dean From Hell CFH is a straight-up replica of the Dean guitar Dimebag Darrell played with Pantera. Any fan would recognize this iconic axe from the band's Cowboys From Hell album cover, and any shredder would recognize some of its shred-tastic appointments: the classic Dean ML body shape, Floyd Rose double-locking trem, or the unique Bill Lawrence L500XL Bridge Pickup that Dimebag loved so well. This is a perfect axe for any rocker who wants to channel some of that Dimebag fury, and a fitting tribute to the man himself.

Original Floyd Rose Tremolo System.

Locking nut and pointed headstock.

Dime It
The late great Dimebag Darrell is a serious metal guitar hero, and Dean's series of Dimebag models pays homage. Dimebag started playing Dean ML style guitars in the late '70s, and made it one of the most recognizable shapes today. Dean offers a wide variety of Dimebag MLs to choose from, all boasting Dimebag's distinctive look and tons of mojo and attitude. Mahogany Body
Dean uses a mahogany body for this beast (as with many of its guitars).Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain. And of course there's that lightning-themed finish, sure to help coax a little electricity from your fingers on the fretboard.Set Neck Construction
The CFH features a set mahogany neck, which imparts all the well-known advantages of that style: a warmer overall tone with extended low-end response, wicked sustain, and easy upper-fret access. The 24-3/4-inch scale neck features a rosewood fingerboard with classic dot inlays.Bill Lawrence L500XL Bridge Pickup
Dimebag made no secret of his love for this particular humbucker, relying on it for a crystal-clear, harmonic-drenched tone--very shred-friendly, but equally suited for rhythm work. A Dean humbucker completes the package up in the neck position, each pickup getting its own volume conrol, along with a shared tone and three-way toggle.Grover Tuners
If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These guitar machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.
Licensed Floyd Rose Tremolo
The patented and often imitated double-locking design of the Floyd Rose tremolo allows you to lock your guitar in tune at the nut and at the bridge. Engineered like no other tremolo system, the Floyd's high-quality steel parts are manufactured to exacting specifications. Beat it up as much as you want--from traditional vibrato to dive bombing leads or flapping loose strings, and stay in tune while you do it. DBD Traction Knobs
Dimebag always rocked his "traction knobs," which he created by taking a soldering iron to them, for knobs that are grippable no matter how much sweat's pouring off you on stage. Yet another aspect of the orginal Dean From Hell that Dean faithfully recreates here.

Jackson® RR24M Rhoads - Snow White w/ Black Bevels Randy Rhoads Signature Electric Guitar with Case Review

JacksonĀ® RR24M Rhoads - Snow White w/ Black Bevels Randy Rhoads Signature Electric Guitar with Case
Average Reviews:

I bought one of these a couple months ago from a nearby shop. It has a great sound, is fairly lightweight, the neck is thin and the fretboard is nice and smooth. The tremolo is a bit tough to get right, but once in tune it stays in tune. I was extremely surprised at how long my guitar stays in tune, especially with the whammy and bends. Probably helps if the strings are of good quality. Mine came with 4 springs. All around, I think it's worth the price, even though I got a great deal on mine. If you want more features/pickups then you'll have to shell out for the more expensive models; but I like it simple :)

One thing to be aware of is the strap. Get a good one. Depending on the size of the strap , the strap adjustment lock will need to be in a position that is comfortable near the left arm, or high enough so it won't scratch the back of the guitar near the input jack (which is just above the strap hook).

Last but not least, get the Jackson hardshell case (or any other hardshell case that claims to fit this, though the Jackson one is guaranteed to fit). It's worth it. Took me sometime to break down and buy it, but I think it's better to spend more on a good case than having to worry about damaging my guitar.

Product Description:
The Spartan-looking RR24M Randy Rhoads guitar is a 24-fret no-nonsense neck-through-body monster. It delivers the goods in the spirit of its legendary namesake. Pro features include a beveled alder body and rock maple neck-through-body for tight lows, throaty mids, and biting highs. The compound-radius maple fingerboard anchors 24 jumbo frets that combine with the swept back body design for easy access and extreme note bending. Includes a single EMG-81 pickup, a Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 double-locking 2-point tremolo, and black hardware. This Jackson guitar looks hot and sounds hot! Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better.

ESP LTD F50 Electric Guitar (Black) Review

ESP LTD F50 Electric Guitar

Now, I wouldn't exactly say that the F-50 plays itself, but it's about the closest to it that I've ever seen.

From the very thin, fast neck to the solid tuners, to the 24 extra jumbo frets to the great sounding humbuckers... I can't think of a single thing that I dislike about this beasty. The short fret spacing makes notes and chords easier to reach, especially if you don't have freakishly long fingers.

It even looks terrific (especially if you're into metal). The goth-ish body styling probably wouldn't work for you if you're looking to play country, but if you're a rocker... this guitar's shape sets it apart from the million other strats around, and in black, it looks exceptionally evil.

This guitar is playable out of the box, it's got a heavy/chunky kind of sound, the pick ups are nice, not the greatest but they're good. I loved it as soon as I started playing it. It's one of those guitars that attracts you to play well on it when you pick it up. It's bigger than you'd think, and the silver is beautiful, it's not too heavy, not too light, kind of perfect balance. The fretboard is fast and you'll have no problem going up and down this thing like I95. Did I Mention that it's really attention grabbing? My only qualm with it is that It had a lot of fret buzz when I started playing it but I guess I'll have to break it in.....BUY IT!
