J. Reynolds Mini Electric Guitar Prelude Pack - Gold Rush Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The shipping was very fast. Unfortunately the guitar we got was broken at the neck of the guitar. the good news, the customer servie at Austin Bazzar were awesome. Once I sent them proof of the damaged guitar, they quickly sent me a UPS tag to return the item and it was replace within days. Very happy with the guitat for the price. Good starter guitar for kids that may not want to take it too serious and not learn. Very inexpensive for starters. The amp sounds pretty good for its size.

AXL Headliner Series Electric Guitar, 1/2-Sized, Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Purchased this as a 2nd attempt to obtain a decent 1/2 sized
guitar for my five year old son's birthday. The first was
a Dean Playmate acoustic from Amazon--which was a total bust.

I decided to purchase the AXL 1/2 Headliner electric based on
the company's reputation for making decent quality guitars for
budget minded players. When we received it, it actually looked
great in terms of appearance and funtions/features.

This all changed once we tried to tune it.We simply could not
bring this guitar up to tune...it has horrible tuning machines
which do not hold their tension. In addition, there is noticeable
fret buzzing on the 6th e string.

I have come to realize that 1/2 sized guitars will likely all have
tuning problems, similar to what we experienced here. The neck
quality simply cannot support the tension of regular guitar strings,
which these use.

I am returning yet another guitar to Amazon.com...citing defective
quality.I will likely turn to a 3/4 sized electric guitar, knowing
that this will be a bit big for my son. However, the overall scale
of a 3/4 lends itself to more of a quality build and, hopefully, a
more in tune and authentic sound.

Electric Guitar with Built-in Speaker Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The guitar looks pretty nice and overall the build quality is decent. But I can't get it into tune and when I get close it doesn't stay in tune for more than a few seconds. I've been playing guitar for more than 20 years and I bought it for my daughter. It sounds absolutely horrible and the internal speaker is useless. It doesn't sound much better when plugged into an external amp.

Austin Bazaar Kid's Electric Guitar Set with Amp - Red Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)i bought this for christmas present for my seven year old son who has been begging me for two years for a guitar. i was amazed at the quality of this guitar. although my son has not recieved it yet, i opened the box to check on it, and was taken back by weight, (not flimsy), the quality, the polish and shine. it was well worth the money spent on it, in my opinion. i did'nt give it a 5 star, because i have not heard it play, but for a kids guitar, the package is just right, equipment and price

Dean Playmate Avalanche Junior Solid Body Electric Guitar, Metallic Silver, 3/4 Size Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)It's good enough for me, I been playing guitar and bass for 40 years, and always set up my own guitars, this guitar plays well, however, you can not adjust the bridge to tune to the perfect pitch at 12th fret, but it is close enough, only the professional can hear, and this guitar is for my son, and you are most likely buying for your youngster, so, like i said , it is good enough for me, change to a lighter string, and have the pros to lower the string action, it will help your young one to play easier.

SX RST 3/4 BK Short Scale Black Guitar Package with Amp, Carry Bag and Instructional DVD Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We bought this guitar for our 6-year-old. We are amazed at the high quality of the product. Apart from it's slightly smaller size for kids, it looks and feels like a guitar for adults. Very impressed! It's a Xmas gift, so it hasn't been played by our son yet; it is a bit weighty due to the quality of materials, but should be fine with the strap. The amp too is of high quality.
