Fits S-style neck pocket. Very good frets. Cheap, but servicable truss rod.
No nut. No tuning machines. No coating/finish, but the maple is beautiful without a coating! No blemishes, simply buff it to shine. Get one while you can.

Golden Gate S-96 T Style Guitar Neck (Maple/Unfinished) Review

I thought this was advertised as a 22 fret neck but it is actually a 21 fret neck. Not a big deal, just wanted to point this out though.I do not see where it is stated as a 22 fret neck at the time of this writing so maybe the description has been recently changed. It does mention the "22 fret position", but just be aware this is a 21 fret neck in case it matters to you.I got this neck to complete my first set builds so I didn't want to spend too much money. This neck was perfect for what I was looking for. Quality seems good and the headstock is easy to shape.Absolutely great price for the product.I'm completely satisfied with this purchase.

15 Electric Guitar Plans for the Guitar Maker / Builder / Luthier Review

15 Electric Guitar Plans for the Guitar Maker / Builder / Luthier

I recieved my plans today from this company, not all of the plans have wiring diagrams on them BUT for the ones that don't you can find the proper diagram on the ones that do. The sets have all the information you would need to build the guitar IF you know what you're doing and have the proper tools for the job (there are specialized tools for the trade). I was initially looking for just a set of plans for a firebired but at almost $13 for one plan this $120 something (when tax is included) for 15 is a bargain and I would highly recommend.

Saga PB-10 P Style Electric Bass Kit Review

Saga PB-10 P Style Electric Bass Kit
Average Reviews:

I purchased a Saga P-bass kit from another vendor, with the aim of having an early summer project. The problem was that I had some spare time one weekend and really wanted to get the box out of the way. Oops, so much for a summer project. Staining, lacquering, and assembling the bass generally was pretty easy. Building one of these kits does provide some insight into how electric guitars and basses go together, and force you really to think about alignments, string set up, and so on. The finished bass plays well in tune, after some adjustments to the bridge tuners. I had a couple of friends who really know electric basses play it and they agreed that it does have a Precision sound to it. The pickups are plenty strong and the tuners hold their tune very well. All in all, it's great to have a pretty decent bass for under $150, and knowing that I'm the one who put it together makes it much more satisfying than buying a Squire or a non-Fender copy. Also, I feel like I have more room to tinker with it. So, the summer project looks like it's going to be a Saga TC-10 kit.

AXL Do-It-Yourself Electric Guitar Kit Review

AXL Do-It-Yourself Electric Guitar Kit
Average Reviews:

I just put this thing together nd have this to say about it:

A very good learning experience. You can really appreciate how your guitar works. The quality was uneven.

The body is very good, being real wood. The neck is OK but the frets were sharp and uneven. I will have to learn to do a fret job. If left as is, the guitar would be unplayable.

The nut was way too high and made the action way too high. I just found out that I can't do it myself, unless I buy a special nut file that costs about $100 for the kit.

The bridge pickup didn't work well. Its output was MUCH lower than the others. The external wiring seems OK, so it must be a bad part.

The screw holes weren't that straight and I had to plug and redrill two of the neck attachment holes.

The tuners certainly aren't Gotohs, but they seem to work although they do bind a bit.

All in all great for a learning experience. You might want to upgrade the neck, but the body seems that it could be used formany years worth of upgrades since it is real wood. Nowadays, cheap guitars are made of cardboard or plywood.
