(More customer reviews)I gave this guitar only 4 stars because I have'nt pluged in in yet. It is still in Sam Ash music being set up. But I have played it unplugged. It plays very smooth. But, if you have small hands beware. Even though Gibson (on the phone)says the neck profile is not real chunky. It is. Not quite a baseball bat like a 1958 Les Paul, but very round and very close to it. That combined with a fairly wide finger board can spell disaster for those with tiny little hands and pinkys. I will try to updte in about a week or so.

Well set up from the factory. The color is beautiful actually more of a deep cherry than pics show.
While it did not come with a Certificate of Authenticity as the prior poster had mentioned he also
mentioned you can get one through the factory as all Gibson's are stamped with a serial # and
only 350 made in this limited run and the flood in Nashville is plausable.
Just a really nice guitar. Light weight but still great sustain.
Have seen it in "Today's deals" 2x now (bought mine the 1st time I saw it).
Definitely worth the current price but always nice to get a bargain!

(More customer reviews)I got this for christmas after owning so many crap guitars.Now I know why you really get what you pay for!!!Nice instrument.The only complaint was that it wasn't packed very securely.I feel like if I hadn't been home to receive it I would have come home to a wet guitar laying in the snow.

As the competition to develop and market affordable and professionally built solid body electric guitars was heating up in the mid-1950s, Gibson branched out into new directions that would eventually yield a wide variety of new and innovative Gibson products at various price points. Among those new products was the Les Paul Junior single cutaway model, which quickly became Gibson's best-selling model and the instrument of choice for such legends as Leslie West, Steve Marriott, Keith Richards, Mick Ralphs, Mick Jones and Paul Westerberg.

Gibson's Traditional Rounded Neck Profile

No guitar neck profiles are more distinguishable than the neck profiles employed on the Gibson models of today. The rounded neck profile on the Les Paul Junior emulates the neck profiles most commonly found on Gibson's iconic Les Paul models of the late '50s. As with all Gibson necks, it is machined in Gibson's rough mill using wood shapers to make the initial cuts. Once the rosewood fingerboard gets glued on, the rest--including the final sanding--is done by hand. That means there are no two necks with the exact same dimensions. So while it still has the basic characteristics of the rounded neck profile, each neck will be slightly different, with a distinct but traditional feel.

The legendary P-90 delivers more warmth than a standard singlecoil pickup, with higher output and sweet treble response.

I bought my first "V" when I toured with the second re-grouping of Screaming Lord Sutch.I have always loved the remarkeable sustain the V can produces even while being beaten with a bratwurst.I now own three V's and would not part with any of them.There durable construction is a bonus as well.I once clubbed an irrate sound technician in the face with one while doing studio work for "The Filth" back in 93. Once while performing with The Defecators I actually used my 2nd V to bat in incoming beer bottle back into the crowd during a show in Hamburg.The action is very light and perfect for doing solo's with your tongue. My 3rd V can be heard on tracks 2, 4 and 5 on Meat Sticks 3rd album..."Whats for lunch".
