(More customer reviews)This guitar is amazing. In case you haven't noticed I am an ESP addict. This is my eighth ESP and I will keep coming back for more. This baby is beautiful. It is in a nice flat black body and headstock finish with an unpainted maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The only issues I had with this guitar were just my preferences. This guitar features black chrome hardware. I prefer flat black. I switched out the tuners with black Sperzel Locking Tuners, the strap buttons with black Schaller strap locks, and the volume knob with a flat black one of the same model. The M-I NTB is stunning out of the box but with a few tiny upgrades you have that custom shop look and feel without shelling out the cash. The guitar is surprisingly versatile. On the surface she is an all-out shredder. This baby does wail and the flat/wide profile to the neck makes lead runs and riffing fast and smooth. Featuring the EMG 81 with no tone and one volume may seem like it would limit the sounds one can get from this guitar. Not so. This guitar is amazingly responsive and lush. Sounds great clean, but she's made to play dirty. Some have commented that the volume knob is in the way when riffing. It really is not. With the raised bridge on here you pass right over the top of the volume without hitting it. At least I do. I have owned others in the Mirage lineup and this simple little monster is far and away the best of all the available models. Five stars.
