(More customer reviews)I got this guitar a few months ago. I've been playing an SG for a few years and to be quite honest, the SG's tone is perfect; thick and rich. However, I play a lot of metal, and this guitar has the best 'metal' tone I've ever heard! It has unbeatable distortion. The Explorer's neck is extremely fast, much faster than the SG. Overall, I think I love both guitars equally.
