Sleek, lightweight (4.5 pounds) and masterfully designed (it reminds me of a postmodern lute or even a lyre!) and constructed, this Parker guitar is amazing! It has hardened stainless steel frets (24-two full octaves!), carbon-glass epoxy fretboard, DiMarzio humbuckers and a piezo bridge for acoustic output. It also has stereo output so you can send two different sounds to separate amps (it come with a Y cable) The paper-thin carbon-glass epoxy backing makes this impossibly thin body a reality. The neck plays incredibly fast. Even with vigorous vibrato use it invariably stays in tune. Just make sure you check the product code and compare it to the description. This Parker is actually a Deluxe (poplar wood for the body)instead of the product title "Parker Classic" (which has a mahogany body). The color was actually Ice Blue Burst instead of Silver. You can tell all of this from the code listed below the guitar: RFDVIBSB. If it had been a Classic it would have been listed as: RFCVIBSB. For the color check out the color codes at Parker Guitars listed in the 2009 catalog. Silver would have been Galaxy or Heather Grey (GG or HG). And to top it off I got an excellent deal from Amazon. I joined Amazon Prime and received it the next business day. It arrived in a very nice Parker hardshell case. All I can say is "wow."
