with a set neck & solid mahogany body. The action and sound are quite good.

Pluses:
+ solid mahogany
+ set neck (glued to body vs. bolted on)
+ nicely shaped neck with good action
+ nice sounding humbucker-style pick-ups

Minuses:
- cheaper die cast-type tuners
- permanent greasy-looking stains on the body and neck, and scratches on mine
- no gig bag
The minuses are minor.

Additional notes:
Amazon's product description is inaccurate (it states that there is a maple top cap to the mahogany body...not so...it is solid mahogany).
Based on several reviews I had read elsewhere online I was half-expecting to receive a Korean-made guitar withGrover tuners...mine is "Made in China" and has cheaper die-cast tuners (the reviews must have been on an earlier model). I did contact Dean, but they did not provide any helpful information.
The photo Amazon has shows pick-ups with "Dean" imprinted on them...but mine had no such imprint.
Also, the guitar was not packed well (I'll post pictures.

Bottom line, this guitar offers a lot for the $100-200 price point. Features I'd like to see added (and would be willing to pay more for):
- Grover tuners
- Floyd Rose style bridge for fine-tuning
- gig bag or case
