I have always been fascinated with Danelectro, in part from a Led Zep poster I had with Jimmy Page playing one.I am now 48, at at the time lived in a small town, so I had no idea what it was.Last winter, I tried one, and just loved it.The neck is narrow, and the body is fairly light.Keep in mind, the modified version has a nicer bridge than the original, and I understand the pickups are a bit hotter.It still won't have the Gibson bottom end, but I find it a joy to play.As an aside, if you see the movie "It Might Get Loud", Jimmy still has his well worn one.I don't play out live, so can't comment on the durability, but I sure like mine.
