(More customer reviews)This is my first 7 string electric guitar, I have 4 other Schecter 6 string electrics, and I have been playing for 20 years. I wasn't sure how I would like the black satin color, but once you see it in person it looks really good and I love the bat inlays on the neck. This has a bolt on neck, but it feels rock solid and stays in tune really well. I only had to adjust the intonnation slightly, otherwise it was ready to play. The passive EMG pickups sound great, not quite as good as the active's, but plenty of crunch and clarity when you need it. Adapting to the wider neck and extra string was not as difficult as I thought it would be, and that low tuning on the the 7th string sounds awesome on power chords. I like that you can play it just like a regular 6 string when you need to, then switch to some real low heavy riffs on the lower string. If you are thinking about buying your first 7 string electric, but don't want to spend a ton of money, this would be a great choice. I know I am very happy with it.
