(More customer reviews)I'll be respectfully brief and to the point. This is not only a great travel guitar, but a pretty damn interestingly voiced guitar on its own. Frankly, when I put the EG-2 through a very nice hardware amp simulator and played a bit I was pleasantly surprised. Enough sounds in its palette to satisfy with really good tone and feel. It is very well made and aside from not being able to comment on it's longevity I am very satisfied with this guitar and the niche it fills admirably.

The Traveler Guitar Escape EG-2 is a full-scale electric travel guitar with vintage looks and modern comfort for the traveling guitarist. With its 25 ½" full-scale length providing the playing experience of a full-sized guitar and the 3-ply pick guard & traditional double-cutaway body providing the classic look, you'll forget you're playing a travel guitar! At just 29 ½" long, the EG-2 stows easily in airline overhead compartments and weighs less than 5 pounds. Two precision-placed single-coil pickups feed into the EG-2's built-in Pocket RockIt headphone amplifier, which is custom-designed to produce classic clean and distortion sounds through headphones or when plugged into an amplifier. Players can also go passive into their amp of choice. The EG-2's onboard electronics include a 1/8" AUX IN jack so players can jam with tracks from an external device such as an mp3 or CD player. Additional controls include Tone & Volume knobs and a 3-way pickup selector.
